Alicia Shaffer Etsy's Richest Seller - Three Bird Nest

How a California mother of three turned a life-long passion for entrepreneurship into a thriving multi-channel business.

Alicia Shaffer, owner of Three Bird Nest, had her first business at the age of 6, selling shells to save enough money to buy a hamster. Today, Alicia and her husband now operate a 7,400 square foot warehouse where they store, receive and ship upwards of 800 online orders every day for Three Bird nest.

Three Bird Nest is an online mecca of women’s bohemian clothing and accessories, including handmade items and other curated designs. In addition to selling on their own website, Three Bird Nest joined eBay to capitalize on mobile technology and eBay tools that help them reach new customers, expand brand recognition and grow sales. These days, 15 percent of Alicia’s sales are coming from international markets and she uses the eBay Global Shipping Program to easily scale her international sales.
